Monthly Themes at Bunnies Daycare!
What our Bunnies are doing in 2026/27
Each month our staff create activities in accordance to each monthly themes, this creates an environment that is nourishing for the children, making each new month different from the last!
Our Themes for each Month
September
2026
Wizard Of Oz/Wicked
The children will be supported in exploring themselves and their feelings, with our staff supporting the feelings of kindness while the children settle after the summer holiday. The children will learn about colours, as well as rainbows and fantasy.
October
2026
Enchanted Forests & Autumn Woodlands
The children will learn about the changes in the season, as well as the differences between them all, as well as learning about the outdoors, including woodlands animals, different aspects of natures as well as exploring the colours and textures of the autumn.
November
2026
Fairy Gardens, Growth & Change
Children in November will explore different plants and how they grow, as well as supporting their knowledge on caring for living things, and seeing how they change with introductions to new beginnings.
December
2026
Frozen Kingdom, Winter & Celebrations
In December, the children will learn all about the different winter weathers, exploring different animals habitats within the colder weather. The children will also explore different celebrations, focusing on the christmas celebrations that are upcoming.
January
2027
Dragons & Castles
In January, we welcome our children back to light up their imagination, with us exploring different castles and dragons as well as different adventures for them to enjoy, with story time consisting of action packed stories and ideas.
February

Little red riding hood & Traditional Tales
Following on from January, the children will be able to explore more traditional Tales for our topic for February, with us exploring story tales and different aspects of a story such as the settings, characters and using imagination for various different crafts.
March

Under the Sea
Within March, we will explore all aspects of the water, varying from sea creatures and habitats, to different colours and textures that are found in the water. This month will be full of fun and interactive water play for the children to enjoy.
April

Fairy Tale Bakery
In April, we will be exploring different foods and ingredients, with the children seeing how foods are created, using measuring equipment and promoting healthier eating.
May
2027
Jack and the Beanstalk & Giant Adventures
Within May, the children will explore the fairytale of jack and the beanstalk, learning about the growth of plants and flowers. within the month, problem solving and and curiosity is the focus, with many puzzling activities for the children to try will be apparent.
June
2027
Superheroes
In June, we will be exploring the fantasy of superheroes, letting the children use their imagination free while playing, all while teaching them about helping others around them, kindness and staying safe as well as working as a team to get things done.
July
2027
Summer, Water and Memories
In July, we will be exploring the wonders of the summer, learning about the seaside and water based play, while looking back on the year the children have had at bunnies. Lots of focus on teaching the children about sun safety will be made to ensure the safety of the children.
